Our chalet river rock we get from a mine just west of Charlottesville. Our bluestone and grey chalet rock we get from a river bed in Pennsylvania that has been mining rock for three generations. Our team even goes up to these areas to inspect the rock beds before the trucks are sent down. We ensure that all rock is mined with permits and that we source rock as close as possible, so that the shipping cost is as low as possible, and we are mindful of how much gas is used. Buying local is always the best choice, that is why we do encourage to use exotic imported stones in moderation and instead use locally sourced stone as much as possible.
